Anything is PAWsible

Join us for this one-day family friendly, and certainly dog friendly, workshop. It has something for everyone! Are you a parent or a family member of a child with a visual impairment and would like to know more about how to teach and encourage more independence at home? Does your child like to learn about and have fun with dogs? This workshop is for all of you.

In the morning, children will get a chance for hands-on experience walking, grooming, and caring for dogs along with learning about responsible pet ownership. Meanwhile, parents and family members will learn about the tools available to help implement and support their child's learning and practicing of daily living skills. You will leave with helpful resources that can be put to use right away and some fun dog-related activities to enjoy at home.

Please note, children must be:

• Elementary-school age (6+)
  
• Able to take care of personal needs such as toileting and stay on task
  
• Able to work in a small group setting without 1:1 support
  
• Not be afraid of or allergic to dogs

We love all dogs, but please do not bring your pet. CSB has friendly ambassador dogs who will work with students.
Occupancy is limited. Participation is only offered to the students with a visual impairment and their parents or caregivers.

Lunch will be provided. However, not all dietary restrictions may be able to be accommodated for. If you have specific dietary restrictions or allergies, consider bringing your own lunch.
